About Fantapedia.net

Fantapedia.net © was established in 2006 and is headquartered in Olympia, Washington. We provide free comprehensive insight, resources and advice from knowledgeable experts regarding fantasy basketball. Blah, blah, blah, blah…

What you really want to know is why you should care. What sets us apart from other fantasy sports sites, and how is this site going to help you win your fantasy leagues?

  1. Fantapedia.net is a community, not a company. You can expect a lot of growth in the near future that promotes user interaction and communication. After all, there are a whole lot of fantasy basketball experts out there and it doesn’t do anyone any good to hide that expertise from the world.

  2. We at Fantapedia.net understand that just because we’re all talking about the same subject doesn’t mean we’re all speaking the same language. For example, one person might be looking for help in a rotisserie-based league, while another might be involved in a points-based league. One person’s rotisserie-based league might have 10 STAT CATS (statistical categories), while another’s league might only have 6. There is a huge difference between the various types of fantasy basketball leagues. More often than not other fantasy sports sites don’t delve that far into those differences, or don’t tell you what fantasy type they’re basing their assessments on.

  3. Our experts have been involved in fantasy basketball for 8-10 years and we’re pretty damn cocky about it. That being said, we don’t always agree with each other. That’s right! So, you don’t have to agree either…and if you don’t you should tell us! You have the option to post comments about almost anything you see on this site. We only ask that you make your comments somewhat tasteful.

Imagine a bunch of athletic kids destined to do great things on the basketball court. Now, imagine those kids once they’ve reached their mid-to-late 20s after they’ve learned all there is to know about beer, girls, fraternities, and so many other distractions of growing up. That pretty much sums us up – a bunch of beer-gut models who still try to live out their NBA dreams by planting themselves in front of computer and television screens to feed their endless fantasy basketball obsessions.

It isn’t something we’re proud of, but now that you know the truth you probably realize why you need this site so much. We do all the numbers-crunching and geek-related analysis so you don’t have to and so you won’t end up like us. So if you haven’t already, join the Fantapedia community and sign up for an account!
