We're a couple days into the season, and there have been some waiver wire picks up already, so you might notice slight differences in these rosters from what players were originally drafted.  For the most part, the rosters are the same.  As the season persists, we'll provide updated rosters so you can follow the league.
 

Regarding the astericks system, keep in mind that it's far from fool proof and is completely based on my opinion at this point. Moreover, it does not mean that the teams with the higher number of astericks is necessarily the better teams in my opinion, because drafting a balanced team has as much to do with winning as anything.  In addition, you'll notice that my team is tied for the most astericks.  Obviously, there's some bias here. However, that doesn't mean that I assume my team is so wonderful because it's mine. On the contrary. My team has some obvious holes, which I'll need to patch (such as big men).  Yet, naturally I would think more highly of the players I drafted than players I might've passed on. If that weren't the case, I would never have drafted them in the first place.  Just keep in mind that these are my opinions at this point in the season. Any other manager in this league might have completely different opinions, and they could end up being more accurate than me.  At this point in the season, the BEL title is up in the air.  Hopefully the astericks assessment system helps to get you thinking about the strategies these guys (and gal) took in the draft.

Analysis:  Matt went big early, drafting Garnett, Jefferson and Howard with his first few picks. Though, that might have hurt him with perimeter statistics.  Barbosa's not going to get the assists at point he needs to compete, and though Felton should get a lot, his low FG% and turnovers are a concern. If he can find solid perimeter players off waivers, or make a trade that makes sense for him, look out!

Anaylsis:  Geoff's another victim of there not being enough centers to go around. Rasheed Wallace usually gets C-eligibility in Yahoo leagues, but that's not a guarantee. Milicic and Stro Swift aren't likely to be on this team throughout the season. Al Horford could be great, but that's still a gamble.  This is a hard team to read. He has some players who could be excellent, like Ronnie Brewer, Al Thornton and Rudy Gay. But, if we're just going off his core and the things we can be sure of, there are some glaring weaknesses with this roster.

Analysis:  John did a solid job with his draft, though he will have to make some adjustments during the season (like most of us).  First, he has absolutely no shot blocker, and unless he's looking to give up in that STAT CAT, he'll need to find something quickly. It's a common misnomer that Bosh blocks shots. Typically, he averages only around 1 or so per game. If Ginobili goes down, steals could be a problem for John, too.
