According to Peter Vecsey, the Memphis Grizzlies have offered F Pau Gasol to the Portland Trail Blazers in exchange for F LaMarcus Aldridge, PG Sergio Rodriguez and C Jamaal Magloire, whose large contract is expiring after the season.
 

The Chicago Bulls still seem to have the best chance to land Gasol and it is unclear whether or not the Blazers were receptive to the Grizzlies offer.  Still, the Bulls would have to include a lot more players and would almost certainly have to include Ben Gordon or Luol Deng in a package with Andres Nocioni and others to make a deal work.
 

In other news, the Grizzlies have reportedly agreed to buy out the contract of G Eddie Jones.
 

Fantasy Spin:  It would be interesting to see Gasol in a Blazers uniform.  My guess is that Gasol would pair well with Randolph because of Randolph's ability to hit the open jumper and Gasol's ability to pass in the post.  However, I don't think Gasol's numbers will be improved in Portand.  LaMarcus Aldridge and Sergio Rodriguez are both players to watch if they get moved to Memphis.
