ROUND SEVEN
- SF. Corey Maggette, LA Clippers (Matt Satten DroppingDimes.com)
Analysis: Maggette's playing for a new contract and will get more touches with Elton Brand sidelined.
- C. Andrew Bogut, Milwaukee Bucks (Matthew Hinzpeter FantasyInsiderOnline.com)
Analysis: Bogut could step up his game this season if he stays healthy.
- PG. Monta Ellis, Golden State Warriors (Howard Mash GameDayDraft.com)
Analysis: Ellis won't be starting at shooting guard like many would have thought, but he does help with steals.
- C. Ben Wallace, Chicago Bulls (Patrick Lee GOTathletes.com)
Analysis: If Wallace can stay healthy, he's helpful in boards and blocks. Yet, his numbers have gotten worse and worse each year as he gets older.
- SG. Anthony Parker, Toronto Raptors (John Karalis RedsArmy.com)
Analysis: Extremely efficient and in a good system, but the Raptors added shooters.
- PG. Andre Miller, Philadelphia 76ers (Julie Simmons SportsRefuge.com)
Analysis: A good pick up here. Miller's assists will help Julie's team.
- SF. Richard Jefferson, New Jersey Nets (Michael Vu FantasySportsMatrix.com)
Analysis: Health is the main issue with RJ.
- PG. Rajon Rondo, Boston Celtics (Phil Partington Fantapedia.net)
Analysis: Has the potential to get assists and loads of steals with solid boards from a point guard.
- PF. Al Harrington, Golden State Warriors (Ari Bluestein SportsFanBase.com)
Analysis: Harrington improved his three pointers last year.
- SF. Rudy Gay, Charlotte Bobcats (Geoff Stein MockDraftCentral.com)
Analysis: Rudy Gay has the potential to be a Lite version of Gerald Wallace.
- SG. Morris Peterson, New Orleans Hornets (Zach Harper TalkHoops.net)
Analysis: Mo-Pete hopes to rejuvenate his career in NO.
- SF. Peja Stojakovic, New Orleans Hornets (Ken Slight BasketballMonster.com)
Analysis: Peja's looking solid after missing most of last season. This could be a steal.
ROUND TWO
- PG. Devin Harris, Dallas Mavericks (Ken Slight BasketballMonster.com) Analysis: Fantasy owners keep waiting for this point guard to break out. So far, he's steadily improving.
- PF. David Lee, New York Knicks (Zach Harper TalkHoops.net)
Analysis: Even as a back up, Lee can post helpful numbers.
- PF. Al Horford, Atlanta Hawks (Geoff Stein MockDraftCentral.com)
Analysis: Horford should be ready to produce right away.
- SF. Tayshaun Prince, Detroit Pistons (Ari Bluestein SportsFanBase.com) Analysis: Prince is solid and consistent and rarely gets hurt.
- PG. T.J. Ford, Toronto Raptors (Phil Partington Fantapedia.net)
Analysis: With big men coming off the board quickly, I'm turning to assists/point guards in hopes to obtain leverage to maybe acquire a big later in the season.
- PF. Troy Murphy, Indiana Pacers (Michael Vu FantasySportsMatrix.com) Analysis: Murphy might have been available in later rounds than this.
- SF. Stephen Jackson, Golden State Warriors (Julie Simmons SportsRefuge.com)
Analysis: Not a bad pick here, but Jackson doesn't have a lot of ceiling.
- SF. Boris Diaw, Phoenix Suns (John Karalis RedsArmy.com)
Analysis: John's hoping he can play more like he did a couple seasons ago.
- SF. Josh Childress, Atlanta Hawks (Patrick Lee GOTathletes.com) Analysis: A nice pick this late. Childress' only obstacle is health and the logjam of forwards he's sharing minutes with.
- PF. Nene Hilario, Denver Nuggets (Howard Mash GameDayDraft.com) Analysis: Nene has worlds of talent, but his numbers weren't as good as people thought last season.
- SF. Walter Herrman, Charlotte Bobcats (Matthew Hinzpeter FantasyInsiderOnline.com)
Analysis: Might've been a bit early for this pick, but this late in the game much of it is guesswork.
- C. Andrew Bynum, LA Lakers (Matt Satten DroppingDimes.com)
Analysis: A very nice pick here. Bynum's in better shape and could post nice boards and blocks. Matt doesn't really need it, but it would give him leverage during the season to make trades.
ROUND NINE
- PG. Jameer Nelson, Orlando Magic (Matt Satten DroppingDimes.com)
Analysis: I am not a fan of Nelson's fantasy value. I don't understand why he's ever drafted. He's had all the opportunities he'll ever get to prove himself, yet his fantasy line consistently falls short.
- PF. Jason Maxiell, Detroit Pistons (Matthew Hinzpeter FantasyInsiderOnline.com)
Analysis: Interesting pick. Might be a reach, but at this point it doesn't hurt to go with the players you think will pan out.
- C. Chris Kaman, LA Clippers (Howard Mash GameDayDraft.com)
Analysis: Very solid pick here. Kaman's biggest issue will be health, but with Brand out for quite a while, Kaman will have plenty of opportunities to prove himself down low.
- PF. Tim Thomas, LA Clippers (Patrick Lee GOTathletes.com)
Analysis: Thomas will get more minutes with Elton Brand out and his threes could help Patrick.
- SF. Andres Nocioni, Chicago Bulls (John Karalis RedsArmy.com)
Analysis: Fantasy owners worry about him being the odd man out. Yet, when healthy, he always somehow finds a way onto the court.
- SF. Shane Battier, Houston Rockets (Julie Simmons SportsRefuge.com)
Analysis: A fantastic pick this late. Battier isn't flashy, but he doesn't hurt you anywhere and his threes are big.
- SG. Raja Bell, Phoenix Suns (Michael Vu FantasySportsMatrix.com)
Analysis: Michael gets a big boost in threes with Bell.
- PF. Chris Wilcox, Boston Celtics (Phil Partington Fantapedia.net)
Analysis: I'm hurting for centers and there's no reason why Wilcox can't have a career year with so few offensive options on that team.
- SF. Kyle Korver, Philadelphia 76ers (Ari Bluestein SportsFanBase.com)
Analysis: Ari grabs a proficient gunner with this pick.
- PF. Darko Milicic, Memphis Grizzlies (Geoff Stein MockDraftCentral.com)
Analysis: Darko's been a popular late pick, but it might not be the right pick. Word is that he's lost the starting center job to Stromile Swift. Ouch.
- SF. Jason Kapono, Toronto Raptors (Zach Harper TalkHoops.net)
Analysis: Toronto's the perfect system for Kapono.
- PF. Drew Gooden, Cleveland Cavaliers (Ken Slight BasketballMonster.com)
Analysis: Gooden sucks fantasy owners in every season, but isn't good for much.
ROUND TEN
- SF. Hedo Turkoglu, Orlando Magic (Ken Slight BasketballMonster.com) Analysis: Turk will lose some minutes to Rashard Lewis.
- C. Nenad Krstic, New Jersey Nets (Zach Harper TalkHoops.net)
Analysis: Zach hopes he can get back to where he was a couple seasons ago.
- PF. Elton Brand, LA Clippers (Geoff Stein MockDraftCentral.com)
Analysis: An excellent gamble this late. Brand could be back by the All Star break. What a boost that would mean for the second half of Geoff's season.
- SG. Delonte West, Seattle Supersonics (Ari Bluestein SportsFanBase.com) Analysis: West will fight for minutes against Luke Ridnour and Earl Watson.
- SF. Corey Brewer, Minnesota Timberwolves (Phil Partington Fantapedia.net)
Analysis: With Ricky Davis traded to Minnesota, the door is open for Brewer to step up and shine his rookie season.
- PF. Charlie Villanueva, Milwaukee Bucks (Michael Vu FantasySportsMatrix.com)
Analysis: Yi Jianlian beat Villanueva for the starting spot.
- PF. Channing Frye, Portland Trail Blazers (Julie Simmons SportsRefuge.com)
Analysis: With Greg Oden out for the season, Frye has a nice opportunity in Portland.
- C. Shaquille O'Neal, Miami Heat (John Karalis RedsArmy.com)
Analysis: It's hard to fault John for this pick since so many fall in the trap of drafting Shaq. Yet, Shaq really doesn't have much left to offer fantasy owners.
- C. Kendrick Perkins, Boston Celtics (Patrick Lee GOTathletes.com) Analysis: Perkins is in great shape and is excited to play with Garnett.
- PF. Luis Scola, Houston Rockets (Howard Mash GameDayDraft.com) Analysis: Scola has to get acclimated to the NBA, but once he does this could be a solid pick for Howard.
- SG. Luther Head, Houston Rockets (Matthew Hinzpeter FantasyInsiderOnline.com)
Analysis: The Rockets are going to need Head's three-point shooting prowess.
- SF. Grant Hill, Phoenix Suns (Matt Satten DroppingDimes.com)
Analysis: What a solid pick this late in the game. Hill's going to fit in nicely with the rest of the Suns.
ROUND ELEVEN
- PF. Tyrus Thomas, Chicago Bulls (Matt Satten DroppingDimes.com)
Analysis: Tremendously talented, but tremendously raw. If he gets consistent minutes, expect big blocks from him.
- PF. Hakim Warrick, Memphis Grizzlies (Matthew Hinzpeter FantasyInsiderOnline.com)
Analysis: Warrick is overrated in fantasy basketball. He simply doesn't do much for your team.
- PG. Stephon Marbury, New York Knicks (Howard Mash GameDayDraft.com)
Analysis: It was just a matter of time before someone took Starbury. If he can show a glimpse of the player he once was, this will be a great pick for Mash. However, he hasn't done that in years.
- SF. Luke Walton, LA Lakers (Patrick Lee GOTathletes.com)
Analysis: This potential sleeper is flying under most people's radars. Though, with Lamar Odom struggling through an early injury, don't be surprised if Walton starts the season hot.
- PG. Jarrett Jack, Portland Trail Blazers (John Karalis RedsArmy.com)
Analysis: Right now it looks like Nate MacMillan is leaning toward starting Steve Blake at the point guard spot instead. He's a better defender and Jack is more of a combo guard.
- C. Eddy Curry, New York Knicks (Julie Simmons SportsRefuge.com)
Analysis: This is a hard pick to watch. Centers are tough to come by and Curry's points and field goal percentage are certainly attractive, but he does more harm than good to a fantasy basketball team.
- PF. Nick Collison, Seattle Supersonics (Michael Vu FantasySportsMatrix.com)
Analysis: This is potentially a very good pick, but with Ray Allen and Rashard Lewis gone, defenses will pay more attention to Collison...meaning his garbage numbers could be tougher to repeat.
- PG. Brevin Knight, LA Clippers (Phil Partington Fantapedia.net)
Analysis: I'm not sure about this pick. It went down to the wire and I made it hoping for some steals.
- SG. Jamal Crawford, New York Knicks (Ari Bluestein SportsFanBase.com)
Analysis: If he's healthy, he can help Ari with threes.
- SG. Ronnie Brewer, Utah Jazz (Geoff Stein MockDraftCentral.com)
Analysis: So many people are jumping on the Ronnie Brewer bandwagon because of one or two good pre-season games. Be careful. The pre-season isn't much of an indicator as to how good players will be.
- PF. Udonis Haslem, Miami Heat (Zach Harper TalkHoops.net)
Analysis: Not a bad pick for Zach. Haslem won't wow anyone with his stats, but he'll bring a few boards without much cost to turnovers.
- PF. Paul Millsap, Utah Jazz (Ken Slight BasketballMonster.com)
Analysis: In order for Millsap to have a big fantasy year, Boozer has to go down or Sloan has to decide that Millsap should replace Okur as the team's starting center.
ROUND TWELVE
- SG. Matt Carroll, Charlotte Bobcats (Ken Slight BasketballMonster.com) Analysis: The draft is getting really thin now. Carroll will find time after Jason Richardson.
- SG. Cuttino Mobley, LA Clippers (Zach Harper TalkHoops.net)
Analysis: Mobley could be asked to do more scoring with Brand out of action.
- SF. Al Thornton, LA Clippers (Geoff Stein MockDraftCentral.com)
Analysis: This freak of an athlete had a great pre-season.
- PG. Chucky Atkins, Denver Nuggets (Ari Bluestein SportsFanBase.com) Analysis: Atkins will be the starting point guard alongside Allen Iverson.
- SF. Mike Dunleavy, Indiana Pacers (Phil Partington Fantapedia.net)
Analysis: Dunleavy's nothing special, but you know what to expect from him and the Pacers are really, really bad.
- PG. Jamaal Tinsley, Indiana Pacers (Michael Vu FantasySportsMatrix.com)
Analysis: A lot of people don't like him in fantasy. I do...at least this late. When healthy, he's the best assists player available this late, and he's also good for steals. And, his low field goal percentage isn't such a big deal, because he takes so few shots.
- SG. Quentin Richardson, New York Knicks (Julie Simmons SportsRefuge.com)
Analysis: If he can get into the game with Crawford and Jeffries in front of him, he can provide a big boost in threes.
- PG. Charlie Bell, Milwaukee Bucks (John Karalis RedsArmy.com)
Analysis: Underrated player who took advantage of a lot of Bucks' injuries last year.
- PF. Antonio McDyess, Detroit Pistons (Patrick Lee GOTathletes.com) Analysis: Should see more minutes if Webber isn't re-signed.
- SF. Matt Barnes, Golden State Warriors (Howard Mash GameDayDraft.com) Analysis: He's the odd man out on that team when everyone's healthy.
- C. Robert Swift, Seattle Supersonics (Matthew Hinzpeter FantasyInsiderOnline.com)
Analysis: Better than most people think, but will be sharing time with Kurt Thomas and Nick Collison, and they won't want to rush him back.
- PG. Rafer Alston, Houston Rockets (Matt Satten DroppingDimes.com)
Analysis: Attitude and new teammates will limit his minutes.
ROUND ELEVEN
- C. Theo Ratliff, Minnesota Timberwolves (Matt Satten DroppingDimes.com)
Analysis: Ratliff has a reputation of not playing hard for bad teams. Yet, this could be a steal if he can get Matt some blocks.
- PG. Acie Law IV, Atlanta Hawks (Matthew Hinzpeter FantasyInsiderOnline.com)
Analysis: A smart gamble this late. Law could emerge as the Hawks' starting point guard.
- PG. Derek Fisher, LA Lakers (Howard Mash GameDayDraft.com)
Analysis: Back with the Lakers, Howard hopes Fisher can provide some threes.
- PG. Earl Watson, Seattle Supersonics (Patrick Lee GOTathletes.com)
Analysis: Somebody's got to win that point guard war in Seattle. Why not Earl?
- PF. Ryan Gomes, Minnesota Timberwolves (John Karalis RedsArmy.com)
Analysis: The Celtics fan takes the former Celtics. Gomes was just a throw-in in this trade, but he could end up being a better find than people think.
- C. Zaza Pachulia, Atlanta Hawks (Julie Simmons SportsRefuge.com)
Analysis: Another big man I'm not fond of. Yet, in the 13th round, this pick doesn't hurt.
- SF. Travis Outlaw, Portland Trail Blazers (Michael Vu FantasySportsMatrix.com)
Analysis: Teammate Martell Webster won the starting spot, but Outlaw still has tremendous talent.
- PG. Damon Stoudamire, Memphis Grizzlies (Phil Partington Fantapedia.net)
Analysis: He's old and I have no need for another point guard, but at this point I'm just looking for a potential steal.
- PF. Jorge Garbajosa, Toronto Raptors (Ari Bluestein SportsFanBase.com)
Analysis: Efficient big man who played well when healthy.
- PF. Stromile Swift, Memphis Grizzlies (Geoff Stein MockDraftCentral.com)
Analysis: Won the starting center spot.
- PG. Luke Ridnour, Seattle Supersonics (Zach Harper TalkHoops.net)
Analysis: Ridnour has great potential, but is extremely inconsistent.
- PG. Jason Williams, Miami Heat (Ken Slight BasketballMonster.com)
Analysis: Excellent pick to close out the draft. Williams is said to be in excellent shape.
